Let's Talk About LATCH
Maestro recently attended an Access Control conference where we featured some of our top integrative tech solutions. With all the current products on our display table, the clear standout commanding everyone's attention was LATCH.
Latch is a full-building operating system of software, products, and services designed to enhance the multi-family living experience for both owners and residents. It simplifies and streamlines Access Control by putting owners and residents in control, while keeping buildings safe and residents secure. A system from Latch allows you to control your doors with your smart phone, Apple watch, or door code. No more keys!*
With residents and property managers alike wanting an ease of operations, it becomes obvious why 3 out of 10 new apartment communities are being built with Latch.
The Latch access system allows you to easily share access codes with your friends, family, and service personnel by sending them Door Codes via text or email. Set a code for 15 minutes for a quick drop in visitor or grant an 8 hour code for service personnel. For an additional layer of security, the Latch Lens takes pictures of your guests to provide a history of who entered your space and when. Building management will appreciate this feature at common area doors, ensuring that only residents and their guests are using the facilities.

How Can Latch Simplify Property Management?
Working together, the Latch App and Latch Manager are powerful tools. Latch Manager gives complete control over common area doors and garage doors, while the Latch App gives users a simple and more convenient way to unlock any door. Together, they enable full-building access for everyone.
Experience easier vehicle entry at parking garages or parking lots with Unlock with Siri. Simply set up a Siri Shortcut™ on your iPhone and ask Siri to unlock the device as you pull up. This allows residents and their visitors to enter seamlessly. Property managers can share and revoke access or remotely unlock from anywhere, for convenient and more efficient and streamlined operations.
The Hardware
Typically used in communal areas such as a gym, The Latch R combines a reader, door controller, and management system into one simple product. The device directly connects to any electrified locking mechanism in addition to motion detectors and request to exit devices.

Designed for resident unit access, The Latch C2 was designed to make retrofits and ongoing operations easier. And it was built to account for door realignment. In an older building, settling and shifting can lead to door misalignment, and motorized locks becoming compromised. The Latch C2 was built to account for that. With its patent pending turn mechanism, real time feedback is provided while locking and unlocking doors, ensuring the right fit is obtained.
The C2 makes building operations simpler. Even with constant Bluetooth availability, the Latch C2 has 24 months of battery life. Every time a resident unlocks using the Latch App, property managers automatically get battery life updates. The Inductive Jumpstart™ technology also protects against the possibility of a power outage, allowing Qi-compatible power sharing that charges the lock in the event of a dead battery. This ensures that enough power is supplied for users to gain access and gives them time to change the batteries.

Perfect for smaller apartment buildings and retrofits, the Latch HUB's smart technology gives the resident complete control over their space. Connect lights, thermostats, and leak detectors to the Latch App and enjoy the ease that comes from overseeing all your devices in one place. Residents are able to check in on the temperature of their unit while away, or ensure the lights are turned off. Upon vacancy, property managers can oversee the devices to keep utility costs low and monitor for emergency occurrences like water leaks.
The Latch HUB connects via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular, and has a backup battery. If the power goes out, all devices remain connected. And regardless of existing wiring in the structure, there's an easy way to install Latch. It was designed with flexible mounting options in mind and allows numerous configurations to support connectivity.
